Welcome to St. Benedict’s Catholic Primary School, a Catholic Voluntary Academy website. Our school mission ‘Pray together, learn together,’ is at the heart of everything we do in St Benedict’s.
Our high expectations of standards, behaviour and the Catholic life of the school are based on the words from our special saint – St Benedict – ‘Ora and Labora’.
As a Catholic school our vision is to provide each and every child with a Catholic Education whereby they each develop a unique understanding with Jesus. Our school mission states that in order to ‘Pray together, learn together’ we are reminded that:
‘For where two or three gather in my name there I am with them’ Matthew 18:20
As a school, we aim to pray to God, pray with each other and for each other.
Every single staff member is extremely proud of our school, your children are a joy and pleasure to teach. Our vision states that we ‘Aspire to be the best we can be, knowing that we will embrace all we can when we can’ to ensure your children have the best possible start.
St Benedict’s as part of a family of schools within Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust, strives to ensure that success for all is inevitable, providing pupils and staff with outstanding learning opportunities to develop knowledge and skills.
High expectations and aspirations are central and integral to our mission statement so that each child can be the best they can be and know no limits to what they can achieve. We are blessed to be part of the Parish of the Blessed Nicholas Postgate and we nurture through the Catholic Life of the school, each child’s unique God given talents so they make a positive contribution to the school, parish and in which they live.
I really do hope you enjoy using our website as a celebration of all our wonderful things your children do each day. This is only made possible by our enthusiastic, dedicated, hardworking team of staff and the support from you as parents and carers.
If you require a paper copy of any information from the school website, please can you contact the School Office and this will be provided free of charge.
With every best wish,
Mrs Suzanne Dickinson
