RIGHTS RESPECTING SCHOOL

The Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA) recognises achievement in putting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) at the heart of a school’s planning, policies, practice and ethos. A rights-respecting school not only teaches about children’s rights but also models rights and respect in all its relationships: between pupils and adults.

Many of the children in the school designed a poster to display the articles on the convention of the right of the child.

We celebrated the 25th anniversary of the CRC on the 20th November.

The pupil focus group have been very busy displaying the articles for the convention of the rights of the children around school and helping other members of the school community to become aware of the articles and what they mean.

St. Benedict’s School is working towards achieving our Recognition of Commitment (ROC).
